The curved blade allows it to fit snugly on various round vegetables, such as daikon radishes, carrots, and potatoes, so that more of the blade is in contact with the vegetable skin than a typical straight-blade peeler.
The second feature is that the blade was made by master craftsmen in Tsubame Sanjo, a town historically famous for producing extremely high-quality kitchenware and blades.
This peeler slices vegetable skin quickly and thinly, ensuring minimal wastage. It's made entirely of 18-8 stainless steel, which is a higher grade than the typical 18-0 stainless used on most commercial kitchenware.
